Bali
Complete Travel Guide
Bali is an island in Indonesia famous for its volcanoes, terraced rice fields, paradise-like beaches, and sacred temples perched on dramatic cliffs.
But Bali isn’t just one type of trip, it’s surf, relaxation, adventure, spirituality, and nature all in one place. You can go from the chaos of Kuta to the peaceful atmosphere of Ubud in less than an hour, or spend the morning on a postcard-perfect beach and the afternoon walking through rice terraces.
In this guide we’ll share everything you need to plan your trip to Bali: how to get around, where to stay, which areas to choose, what to do, and the best time to visit depending on the weather and rainy season.
Best Time to Visit Bali
Bali has a tropical climate, which means it’s warm and humid all year round. Daytime temperatures usually range between 26 °C and 32 °C, and nights tend to stay warm as well.
Temperatures don’t change much between the dry and rainy seasons, what really varies is the amount of rainfall and humidity.
🌞 Dry Season (April – October)
• Sunny and mostly dry days
• Ideal for beaches, trekking, and outdoor activities
• Best months: May, June, and September (fewer tourists)
🌧️Rainy Season (November – March)
• Higher humidity and more frequent rain
• Fewer tourists and lower prices
• Outdoor activities can sometimes be affected
This is a crucial detail to keep in mind when choosing your travel dates.
Although you might be lucky and experience little rain between November and March, Bali is a destination heavily centered around beaches, relaxation, and nature, so bad weather can affect your plans quite a bit.
We visited in July, right in the middle of the high season. The weather was fantastic and, although there were quite a few tourists, it didn’t feel overwhelming. Bali is a large island, and your experience depends a lot on which areas you visit and at what time of day.
