JAPAN

Japan was one of those trips that completely took us out of what we had experienced before. Everything feels different: the culture, the way people move around, and the way cities are lived.

This trip was especially meaningful because we did it with some of our closest friends, whom we met while living in Australia, and with whom we shared a destination we had wanted to visit for a long time. One of them is Japanese, so exploring Tokyo with a local made everything easier and even more special.

 

Our trip through Japan was short, but incredible. We based ourselves in Tokyo, from where we explored different neighborhoods, learned how to navigate the city’s public transport system, and also made the classic day trip to Mount Fuji.

For now, this Japan guide focuses on that experience: Tokyo, the public transport system, and the excursion to Mount Fuji. But we’ll definitely be adding many more cities in the future.
